 Yoga Basics: Four Week Beginner Series with Mia – March 1st

Yoga has many benefits: relieving stress, building strength, along with creating a sense of balance, confidence, ease and peace in one’s life. If you have been thinking about trying yoga and would like to start, this is the class for you.

This 4 week Beginner Series class will introduce and ground you in the basics of yoga. It will give you a strong foundation before attempting a more advanced class. You will learn the preliminary standing, seated and balancing postures, and be introduced to some simple and very accessible vinyasa sequences. You will move through the practice looking at the alignment of your body in the postures to prevent any injury, you will work with props and learn modifications, and will learn the basic breathing exercises that will help you understand the importance of the breath.

After taking this series, you will feel ready to try a moderate or higher level Vinyasa class. This is for anyone interested in learning or going over the basics of vinyasa yoga practice.

Sangha Chair Yoga ::  week Series with Mia – Mondays & Wednesdays in March

Sangha Chair Yoga is for anyBODY that is in the stages of healing or living with a condition that makes it difficult to get up and down on the floor easily or has limited mobility or struggles with balance. Don’t let limited mobility or injuries hold you back from enjoying yoga, this class is a safe way to stretch and strengthen your body.

If You’re Experiencing Any of These Limitations…
• Living with chronic pain
• Limited mobility due to illness, injury, disease, disabilities, weight challenges
• Inflammation in the joints
• Never done yoga before
• Difficulty standing for long periods of time
• Difficult getting up and down on the floor

Sangha Chair Yoga is the perfect practice to help you slowly develop balance and stability—while improving strength and flexibility. The chair replaces the mat allowing you to take full advantage of yoga’s amazing benefits. We will move slowly and mindfully in a safe and supportive way.

Pre-teen/Teen Yoga with Heather – March 17th

Pre-teen/teens are full of energy as well as trying to navigate through emotions, stresses and finding a sense of who they are. This is the age of change. Yoga can help them identify this energy and emotions and find some peace to develop a mind-body relationship. This class will empower the individual, strengthen the body, spark the imagination and ignite creativity. We will practice yoga, pranayama and relaxation techniques as well as group activities to develop a sense of trust and community. This class will help de-stress, bring calm and confidence, stimulate the mind as well as become aware of an inner strength and awareness that lies inside.

**This class is for the pre-teens/teens ages 10-15

Beginning Yoga with Heather – March 17th

This workshop is a great place to start your yoga journey!

You will explore the foundations of yoga in a fun, inspiring, comfortable, and judgement free atmosphere. The format is open, so students will be encouraged to ask questions throughout class. There will be lots of hands on adjustments and simple modifications to meet everyone’s needs. You will learn simple breathing techniques, the foundation poses of a vinyasa class and basic transition poses found in most yoga classes.

This class will help you feel confident in an all levels class while finding the fun of yoga. Beginning Yoga is open to all ages and levels of experience.

Live Like a Yogi Yoga Immersion – Spring 2018

Two weekends – April 28-29; May 5-6

How does a yogi live?  By walking the eight limbed path of yoga   This yoga immersion dives into the eight limbed path of yoga and will give you the tools necessary to develop a daily sadhana.  You will study the physical asana as well as the philosophies of yoga to provide a deeper connection to your personal practice and life.  At the completion of this course you will have the tools necessary to incorporate yoga into your daily life in many ways and live your life as a yogi.

Training includes:

  • foundations of the asana practice and refinement of the poses
  • pranayama
  • meditation
  • history and branches of yoga
  • eight limbs of yoga
  • bandhas
  • chakras

**You will receive a manual that will also include a 30 minute invigorating vinyasa flow and a 30 minute relaxing vinyasa flow**

Girls’ Night Out at Sangha Yoga – GROUP RESERVATIONS ONLY

Looking for something fun to do with the girls? Has life been stressing you out and you just need some time with the people that make you smile and laugh? Plan your own ‘Girls’ Night Out’ at Sangha Yoga! You pick the date (Friday or Saturday late afternoon/early evening), get your girls and Mia will design a special fun-filled class just for you and your friends. BYOB (and yoga mat).
